As time passes since the horrific slaughter of the Jerapit ponies by the DPI, Vitoria, more stories are making the news. Unfortunately, none really tells us why the situation was handled in a way which saw the tragic end of so may ponies. They are raising more questions than before and a deep desire to know the thruth abotu the matter!

24 hours after contacting the list of people/organisations/authorities in the first update regarding the slaughter of 300 ponies in Jeparit, Victoria, I have received only 2 replies!

I strongly believe that this story cannot be left untold and these ponies didn’t die for nothing. Australia, we cannot close our eyes on such act.

The Jeparit ponies barely made the news, but they reached so many hearts through the Internet. A long standing legal battle between a man and the DPI regarding the welfare of 300 ponies in Jeparit, Victoria, has turned my stomach upside down. Billie Dean, a well known animal communicator, raised people’s awareness on Facebook last week regarding the ponies. After legally taking over the ponies, the DPI, based on their vets’ recommendations and RSPCA, decided to kill the ponies.
